Groundbreaking Ceremony for TKG Eco Material Vina Factory
On June 28, TKG Eco Material Vina Joint Stock Company and Ban Thach Company held the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the TKG Eco Material Vina factory at Lot No. 45-18-2, N14 Street, Phuoc Dong Industrial Park, Phuoc Dong Commune, Go Dau District, Tay Ninh Province.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Chairman of the Board and General Director of Ban Thach Company, delivered a speech at the groundbreaking ceremony.
To expand its operations, TKG Eco Material Vina Joint Stock Company has decided to invest in the construction of the “TKG Eco Material Vina Factory.” After a period of preparation and completion of the necessary legal procedures—with the support of relevant authorities in Vietnam, particularly those in Tay Ninh Province—all requirements have now been fully met in accordance with Vietnamese law, ensuring that the project is eligible to commence construction.
It is noted that TKG Eco Material Vina JSC was established in Vietnam in October 2014. In February 2015, the company commenced construction of its first factory, which was completed in September 2015 and certified by Nike. By November 2015, the factory officially went into operation. In November 2016, the company joined Nike’s supply chain and began fabric production. On June 28, 2022, the company broke ground on its second factory, which is expected to be completed in early 2023.

Taekwang Group is a leading Korean footwear manufacturer and a key partner of Nike, the global sportswear brand. The group produces 72 million pairs of shoes annually at its overseas factories in Vietnam, China, and Indonesia. Taekwang ranks second worldwide in revenue among Nike’s manufacturing partners and third globally in production volume.
A major driving force behind Taekwang’s success in Vietnam lies in its commitment to utilizing local human resources and contributing to the country’s development. The company has assigned Vietnamese managers to oversee all production lines and provided training programs at its headquarters in Gimhae, Gyeongnam, Korea. To date, around 20 Vietnamese managers have successfully advanced through this program.
As a result, Taekwang is increasingly recognized not merely as a foreign enterprise in Vietnam, but as a national enterprise deeply integrated into the local community.\

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Chairman of the Board and General Director of Ban Thach Company, sincerely thanked TKG Eco Material Vina JSC for choosing Ban Thach as the general contractor for the project. He affirmed Ban Thach’s strong commitment to making every effort to ensure on-time delivery, high quality, and absolute safety in construction, so that the project can be put into operation as soon as possible.
Mr. Thanh emphasized: “We do not express our determination in words alone; we are committed to standing side by side with the investor to ensure the success of TKG Eco Material Vina JSC in particular, while also contributing to the economic development of Tay Ninh Province as a whole.
